Voxpro E3 Interface

Voxpro is a rather cool application designed by, and for, radio station operators. Quite simply, it allows extremely prompt editing and playback of audio recordings, making on-air radio operations considerably easier to manage. How do I fit into this? Well, the programs creators, Audionlabs contacted me and asked me if I could design an interface for one of their upcoming sister products. As you can guess, I accepted and got to work on it right away. In the end the whole project was much more involved than initially planned, but we still reached a very satisfying end product, and this can be seen above.

The actual design specifications for the interface posed some unique technical challenges, which definately taxed the limits of my design talent. For starters, the whole thing had to be resizable, yet compact enough for a 'mini-mode'. The LCD glare effects also had to be removable, just in case their design team at their end decided to remove them at the last minute. Oh, and they had no experience of alpha-blending, so I had to talk them through it. That said, I am happy with the end result, and i've learned many valuable skill in the process (oh, and some money). A winner all around really...
